LAKE BLED & LAKE BOHINJ

TRIP HIGHLIGHTS
Lake Bohinj
This largest Slovenian lake is part of the Triglav National Park and only 30 minutes drive from the Bled Lake.
Best way to get familiar with the lake is to take a 30 minutes ride to the other side of the lake by a wooden electrical boat. There you can find some nice beaches where you can enjoy swimming in the summer. After that you can admire the view on the lake and Julian Alps including Triglav from the Vogel mountain which you can reach with a cable car. Instead of taking a boat, more active visitors can return to a starting point by taking a hike along the northern shore of the lake.
Lake Bled
Visit the most beautiful Slovenian alpine lake and its small romantic island with the Churh of St. Mary. Take a ride with traditional Pletna boat or rent your own boat and head to the island. Afterwards you can climb the hill and visit the castle where you can enjoy the finest view of the lake and taste the famous local cream cake called kremšnita.
